Hippity Hop

Here is a card I made for my mother in laws birthday.
All paper is by K & Co. The Unity stamp I used is from the "Scrapbook from the beginning" collection. Other stamps include Anna Griffin for the sentiment and Fiskars for the scroll.

Now, hop on over to Anita's blog for more Unity blog hopping fun!

On last thing before I go...

I am off to Tennessee and Kentucky tomorrow! Myself and a friend are headed out to see a dear friend who just turned the BIG 40 a couple of weeks ago. Before I leave though, I wanted to share a layout I finished up for my guest design team gig at Create My Keepsake.

And last but not least, something that you should never, ever forget....

Guest designer layouts

Here are a couple of layouts I have completed for "Create My Keepsake" as their March guest designer. I just got my kit 2 days ago, so I am going to work fast to get the rest of my projects done.

This layout is slightly hybrid since I added a digital frame around the photo of my mom and her family. I also did my journaling in Photoshop then printed it onto the journal card. I wanted the text to appear as though it had been typed on an old fashioned typewriter.

I love this photo and thought it was a perfect fit for the vintage inspired papers.

I had some fun with this one doing some embroidery. I even tried out the Palestrina stitch on this one.

Sadly that is about all I can share with you right now. I HAVE been working on some other project, but you just have to wait till next month to see. :0)

What's makin' me happy today...

Sifting through my collection of lovely vintage buttons.

A pretty, scrappy kit from Jenni Bowlin studios that showed up on my doorstep today.

Dancing with my hubby and stealing a kiss.

That is not ALL that is making me happy today, just the hilights. I got in some scrappy time today and was able to finish up a couple of projects. I did a bit of laundry, cooked dinner and am ready to relax for the rest of the evening. I hope you have had a great day too!

Good news!

This month I am the guest designer over at Create My Keepsake. I am looking forward to this month's beautiful kit, "Country Charm". The kit features new Jenni Bowlin "Farmer's Wife" paper and embellishments, as well as some new release Graphics 45 "Fashionista" papers. I am so excited to get my hands on it!

As if that wasn't exciting enough, I was also asked to join the design team over at Citrus Tree Studio! I am really looking forward to this opportunity.

So that's the big news I wanted to share. What a relief to finally get to spill the beans!

Jillibean Soup goodness!

Here are a couple of projects I completed with some of the newest releases from Jillibean Soup. I love the bright fun colors, they were totally perfect to use for the layout of my little man. He truly is a wild child and brings sooooo much color to my life!

I was totally giving myself props for getting the corners perfect on the zig zag stitch. Hubby could not understand why this made me so happy. He couldn't relate at all. LOL!

A simple, but sweet card for someone special. Okay that's it for today!

Not TOO shabby!

I made this layout and submitted it to Scrapbooks Etc's. challenge blog. I also submitted it to Create My Keepsake as my March guest designer entry. For CMK I was supposed to create a layout using a soft color palette, at least one button, ribbon somewhere on the layout and distressing. The layout needed to reflect "Shabby Chic" style, which is one of my all time favorite looks. I found out on today that I was one of 5 winners chosen over at Scrapbook's Etc.'s site! Woo Hoo! I guess this layout is not too shabby after all.

Let's celebrate!

It was my blogs birthday two days ago! It's been one year and 77 blog posts since I began this little blogging journey. I have enjoyed the process of blogging and recording memories, staying connected with friends and sharing a few pieces of me along the way. I have not particularly enjoyed learning HTML! I must admit that I have murmured a few expletives a time or two (or ten) during the learning process. LOL I am glad that I took the time to educate myself, though, even if it meant a few hours of frustration. So raise your glass of whatever you may be drinking and say cheers to my little blog for it's birthday!

The desire to create

This is from Rhonna Farrer's blog.

The quote is by Uchtdorf and all I can say is amen & hallelujah to that!
